“Still”: EDEN live visuals

The brief

Select a piece of music with personal emotional significance and use it as the foundation for motion-based visuals that act as a dynamic backdrop to a live performance by the artist. Instead of a single video, create three separate sequences that work together as a cohesive set, to be shown in the School’s new immersive video space.

The response

I chose EDEN’s “Still”. The visuals are built as one audio-reactive system in TouchDesigner, with ASCII art and glitch typography finished in After Effects, and were shown publicly across the University of Hertfordshire’s triple immersive screens.
